The vision of Destinations Academy is to partner with students, parents, and the community to assist a diverse student body in taking ownership of their future and learning by:

Purpose:
Destinations Academy is focused on giving all students an opportunity for excellence and equity in their education. To accomplish this goal, our staff commits to involving school personnel, community members, students, and their families as partners in an ongoing process of educational improvement. The main focus is to ready our students for college or a career by teaching academic, social, and transitional skills.
Staff utilizes partnerships with families, Marshfield High School, and local community employers to allow the best opportunities for students to take ownership of their future and learning. The staff ensures all students the following: a safe learning environment, individualized goals, frequent progress monitoring, high expectations, diverse programs, and a culture of collaboration.

As an alternative education hub, Coos Bay Alternative Education offers three (3) program options to assist students and families;
- Destinations Academy
- CBD9 Online
- Resource Link Charter School
- Regular Diploma
- Modified Diploma
Delivery Methods:
The main delivery of curriculum for Destinations Academy will be through in person learning in a small group setting. However, students may also earn credits through traditional classes by cross-enrolling with Marshfield along with participating in individual work experiences in the local business community.
